We have all heard that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. But really, what you eat for breakfast sets up your entire neurotransmitter production for the day. So your attention span, focus, concentration, mood, and more.
By eating meat (or better and more preferred, meat and nuts for your first meal of the day) you are raising both dopamine and acetyl-choline. These are the two most important neurotransmitters for focus and drive.
By eating the meat (I love steak / veal) it allows for a slow and steady rise in your blood sugar. Adding some nuts to it gives an amazing source of healthy fats, this actually allows the blood sugar to remain stable for an extended period of time (no crashing).
That is not to say every breakfast consists of zero carbs, but rotating meals allows for variance in what I’m eating. Not only is it enjoyable, it allows my body to run efficiently and with purpose.
